: A non-fungible token (NFT) is a digital asset that is one-of-a-kind and offers proof of ownership tracked on the blockchain. Things that can be digitally represented, like pictures, music, videos and more can be turned into an NFT. : We are aware of the environmental impact of NFTs and support the work of communities who are rallying together to counter their energy consumption and carbon emission costs. CARE is a leading humanitarian organization fighting global poverty with a focus on empowering women and girls. Today, CARE operates in 100 countries and impacts the lives of more than 90 million people each year. CARE has been a trusted humanitarian partner with deep ties to local communities in Afghanistan since 1961. Funds raised through Art Auction Afghanistan will provide emergency cash, food, water, shelter and healthcare to vulnerable families, with a specific focus on women and girls.

Civil Society and Human Rights Network

The Civil Society and Human Rights network consists of 58 Afghan organizations which are active in the promotion of human rights. Besides its member organizations, CSHRN works together with over one hundred partner organizations in different regions of Afghanistan.

Funds raised through Art Auction Afghanistan will go towards defending human rights and supporting families fleeing violence in Afghanistan.

Please note that as the nature of their work in Afghanistan places them in danger, CSHRN has had to take down most of their information from the web. Read an external review of the network here.
: Art Auction Afghanistan was initiated as a way to help those in need in Afghanistan.

After following the news of the events of August 2021 in Afghanistan many wanted to find ways to help those in need suffering from recent events and events yet to come.

We, a group of artists and Ape Unit, a development and design team, decided to come together and contribute our skills towards creating an auction of digital artworks to raise funds.

Dorium, a social goods project that has projects operating in Afghanistan made the connection to Edris Joya and the Civil Society and Human Rights Network to get a better understanding of the current situation on the ground and find the most important groups to donate to.

We also reached out to Alejandra Villalobos from Care.org to find a partner with long term experience and a special focus to help women and girls in the region.
